Though not the largest solar system in Yellowstone, this is perhaps the most unique and high-profile given the intent behind the project’s LEED certification process, and given its high-visibility to visitors of one the Park’s busiest areas: Old Faithful.

The residential solar electric system is installed in the heart of the Gallatin Valley, producing clean energy for many years to come.

This 30 kW solar system is one of the largest in Bozeman city limits, and covers the entire south-facing roof of the Emerson Center for the Arts and Culture's Crawford Theatre.

When Leandra Hill of Three Forks decided to install a solar electric system on her property - a former dairy farm - she discovered that her rooftop was not appropriate for hosting a solar array as all of her south-facing roof space was shaded by large trees. Luckily, she learned, there was an alternative: a pole-mounted solar array.
