Client Profile

The Livingston Water Reclamation Facility wanted to offset as much of their usage as possible with solar.

Case Study

This 40 kW ground mount array at the Livingston Water Reclamation Facility was installed on top of a new concrete pad that had been poured over the decommissioned treatment ponds to the south of facility. We utilized APA Solar Racking Ready Rack Kit with a Geoballast foundation that can be installed quickly and efficiently without having to drill into the concrete. The Geoballast option is cost effective and also allows the for the array to be relocated in the future.

The long term plan for the newly upgraded facility is to offset as much usage as possible with this 40 kW array, and then monitor both cumulative energy consumption (kWh) and interval demand load data (kW) for a period of 1-year to assess the viability of expanding the array into a non-export (behind the meter) format in the future.
