Matt Rounds

Matt’s background includes 10yrs experience in engineering, construction, and operations development

in the Gallatin Valley. His passion is lifelong learning and growing small businesses. This, combined with

his interest in conservation and localized power generation, led to his journey at OnSite Energy.

Matt started his career as a Mechanical Engineer designing cryogenic systems, self-driving cars, and CNC

machines, then transitioned to Project Management and Operations roles in the local construction

industry. His current focus is streamlining business processes, coordinating resources, and increasing

efficiency to provide the best experience possible for our customers and employees alike.

Outside of work, Matt can be found hunting, fishing, kayaking, and camping all across Montana with his

wife and young daughter. He is a local member of BHA, RMEF, and MDF and believes strongly in

preservation of public access to the outdoors. During the colder months, he resides in his garage-

converted-woodshop and builds furniture and trinkets.
